So I just recently did a new SASCO Mine Shoot. For those that don’t know, SASCO is an abandoned mine in North Pima County north of Tucson. It used to be a smelter for copper mining in Tucson in the early 1900s.
This heavily graffitied concrete smelter is about all that exists now.
Now it’s a place for people to shoot their guns (no joke, I went there once and there was a guy there shooting a really loud, huge gun – sniper rifle?), ride around and pretend like they’re Mad Max, or shoot pictures of half-naked girls (like me). I’m so happy to announce a new modeling opportunity: Sexy Swim! This is the first project I’m officially attaching to EasyTrade. What does that mean? It means, this project will be used to trade (barter) service for service. Really it’s a way for me to get several models together for a single project and be able to get a good feel for the different talents I will see as a photographer from Tucson.
If you haven’t already seen it, check out this recent post: The EASYTrade™ Program Announcement. There is still much more to do for this project, but I’d like to see how it will work small before I take it big.
A really quick update today: finished this little video yesterday, but I got caught up in other stuff. I did a quick photo tour of the Agua Caliente Park in Tucson, AZ a few days ago.
This park is one of the very first parks I was able to explore when I began shooting this type of photography not long ago.
It has seen its share of trouble over time. For a while, the water that clearly defines this park had gone away. The water table had dropped too far in too short a time, causing the dual cool and hot springs to leave the park dry after more than a century. The county is pumping water back into the location, but the original springs are all but dried up. Very sad because I know the county won’t dump cash into anything for very long.
So, let’s shoot this before it’s gone! I love shooting fantasy, sci-fi, horror and just plain portraits here. Got an idea? I’ll help with it!
Enjoy this short video showcasing Agua Caliente Park.
Here is one of my latest images. She is inspired by the character Harley Quinn of Batman Fame.
This is one I avoided because I didn’t think I could make it the way I wanted it. This is the tail end of my stencil phase – I made a ton of stencils for a while. I can’t explain why. They just needed to be made is all.
Available as an 11×17″ print with a border. Printed on good quality paper.
$25 plus shipping/handling. Sold on Etsy. Web store is slowly in the works.
